What to Know

Traditional medical care can be excellent but it is largely “episodic”. You develop symptoms that indicate you are ill, you go to the doctor, you get treated and you return home … until symptoms of an illness appear. You go to  an urgent care center or an emergency room; you get treated and you return home … until you get sick again.

In over 50 years of clinical practice, one pattern has been consistent among patients who remain active into their 80s and 90s: the patients who thrive don’t wait for symptoms to develop.  They monitor their health, identify risks early, and make incremental adjustments over time. In my experience, the best longevity outcomes are the result of proactive monitoring, not reactive treatment.”
