Lung Cancer Screening — Know Your Risk
Smoking history is the primary risk factor, but non-smokers may also be at risk. Here's what to do.
Lung Cancer Screening Guidelines:
- If you are a smoker or have been a tobacco smoker, you are at risk for Lung Cancer.
- If you have never been a smoker but have had long-term exposure to cigarette smoke, you may also be at risk for lung cancer.
- Review your smoking pack-year exposure and the emerging data on lung cancer in smokers with your doctor.
- Discuss evidence-based lung cancer screening with your doctor based on your risk profile.
- There is scientific evidence that LOW-DOSE CT-scan imaging may be helpful in the early detection of lung cancer
- Environmental exposure mapping (radon, occupational) may be available for HealthChek clients on request
