ADRENAL GLANDS

The Adrenal glands are triangle-shaped glands located on top of the kidneys. They produce hormones such as estrogen, progesterone, steroids, cortisol, and cortisone, and chemicals such as adrenalin (epinephrine) and norepinephrine. When the glands produce more or less hormones than needed by the body, you can become sick.
The Adrenal glands respond to stress by producing more “stress hormones” including steroids. Many people in today’s hectic society are appropriately concerned about level of their “stress hormones”. It is advisable to seek counseling if you think that you may under excess stress at home on your job
